Tymos had suddenly moved close to Carla and yanked her gloves off. Her hands were glowing faintly mauve, confirming his realisation that Carla and her brother were Tymoreans. It was incredible, but just as indisputably true, but he dared not create a time paradox and identify himself to them.

Penjan sensed his recognition of their heritage and reacted by firing a stunner at him. He did not realise that Tymos was Tymorean, only that normal Earth humans had no knowledge of Tymoreans and anyone that did, was dangerous.

The beam paralysed Tymos, and while he collapsed back to the ground, he didn’t lose consciousness. He was able to draw on the energy aura here to make the effect wear off quickly. Carla and her brother summoned reinforcements to help.

Six men arrived abruptly, materialising in front of Tymos. Who they were, Tymos had no idea, but they had transmitted from somewhere, they all had palm sized metal devices and only Tymoreans could use them. As Carla quickly explained that they should take him to the base, Tymos sprang up and grabbed a transmitter and vanished.
